I chose to join this team because I wanted to gain experience in the clean energy industry. I intend to devote my career to climate change mitigation and innovate carbon-free energy technologies. This project provided the opportunity to study how wind energy, one of the most prolific clean energy solutions, is accomplished from an engineering standpoint and also from a logistical standpoint. Working with wind energy is without a doubt the best way to learn about the challenges that face large scale deployment of many forms of renewable energy, not just wind.
