I chose to join the CU Wind Team because I have always been interested in clean and renewable energy. I see this as the future and would love to devote my career to helping the world run off of a cleaner source of energy. Being one of the electromechanical engineers, I was really interested in learning about the electrical side of energy generation and all that goes into how kinetic energy from the wind was transferred into usable electrical energy that can power most everything in our lives. I found this project to be an interesting engineering challenge and look forward to seeing what all we can accomplish by the end of the year.
